Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi
About
The Big Muff Pi is one of the most iconic fuzz pedals ever created. Used by everyone from Jimi Hendrix and David Gilmour to Kurt Cobain and Jack White, its thick, sustain-heavy fuzz tone has defined the sound of rock for over 50 years.
History
The Big Muff Pi was first released in 1969 and has undergone numerous revisions over the decades, with each version ('Triangle', 'Ram's Head', 'Civil War', etc.) having devoted fans. David Gilmour's use of the Ram's Head version on Pink Floyd's 'Animals' and 'The Wall' is particularly legendary.
