History
The TS808 was introduced in 1979 with the JRC4558D op-amp, which was replaced in later versions. Stevie Ray Vaughan's tone β a TS808 into a cranked Dumble amp β is perhaps the most copied guitar sound of all time. Original 1979β1981 TS808s with the correct chips sell for hundreds of dollars on the vintage market.
